Welcome!!!

My name is Rachel (the one in the picture below with the windswept hair) and I am thrilled that you are here.

Whether you have made the decision to move your family to the Blue Mountains or have lived here a while but now starting a family, you are in the right place.

The Blue Mountains is a wonderful place to raise a family and I hope you are already feeling the warmth of our community.

It was my own experience becoming a parent that it can be isolating if you don’t know how to navigate resources and where to make connection with others, so I created this space to help.

Out of the Nest exists to Connect, Equip and Resource local families- so here is a little map of how you can use this website to help navigate parenting in the Blue Mountains.

I am Mum to 3 little ones, aged 6,3 and almost 1, Wife to my high school crush, Midwife at our local hospital and Creator of 'Out of the Nest'. I hope more than anything to do all these things well and maybe empower and encourage others along the way. Though its quite the juggling act, and balls do drop ALOT, so I am happy to talk about that too. xx
